about

"Face to Face" is the second single from my forthcoming EP, "These Days." I wrote this song right before I took a trip to California in summer 2021 and we seemed to be turning a corner on the pandemic. It's about breaking free from the monotony and re-establishing connections.

lyrics

Can't get out of my head these days
Feels like I never get away
I think I'll fly to California
Just gotta give myself a break

It's been awhile since we felt safe
To spend some time face to face
And now I'm trying to move forward
But I can't seem to turn the page

I let my guard down for awhile
Long enough to step outside

I think the clouds are lifting
The sun is coming out
Know I'm right here with you
You don't have to worry now

Spent some time yesterday
Thinking about what we used to say
And now it's time to move forward
But I can't seem to turn the page

I let my guard down for awhile
Long enough to step outside

I think the clouds are lifting
The sun is coming out
Know I'm right here with you
You don't have to worry now
I feel the tide is shifting
It's gonna carry us out
Take my hand we're leaving
We'll make it through somehow
